All the above mandatory courses are run regularly in our own training room which is ideal when training is required for just one or two members of staff – see course dates.
We charge £29 + vat for a half day course, £49 + vat for a full day course and £135 for the full 4 day Skills for Care Induction Course.
Tailored Training:
At your premises: We can also come to your place of work and provide any of the above
courses for between 8 and 15 staff (depending on the course) for only £199 + vat for
a half day course and £299 + vat for a full day plus 40p mile for the trainers travel.
The aims of the Skills for Care Induction are to ensure that all care staff understands the needs and expectations of
the service user and their responsibility for working competently within the workforce. Knowledge is tested using a work book
, which i
s completed and then assessed.
This is delivered over a four-day period and fully covers the eight induction standards as required by
CSCI. It also covers the core units for Health and Social Care Level 2 as well as some optional units within the award including Knowledge Evidence.

The aims of this course are to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills
of correct moving and handling procedures, assessing risk and reducing this risk within their
working environment. Knowledge is tested via a questionnaire at the end of the session.
This is run over one full day. The course looks at the following:

COURSE OBJECTIVES – to develop an understanding of what dementia is, different types, its causes and effects on its sufferers and their family.
At the end of the course the attendees will have an understanding of these and basic brain functions.
The aims of this course are to introduce care workers to food safety within the workplace. Knowledge of the topic is tested via a questionnaire at the end of the session.

COURSE OBJECTIVES – At the end of this session participants will be able to state their obligations with regard to fire safety.
State the actions to be taken in the event of a fire occurring within their working environment. Identify the correct fire extinguisher for use on a
range of different types of fire. State how fires occur, spread, and how they can reduce the risk of fire occurring. Understand the consequences of
a fire in their home and how they may reduce the threat.
The aims of this course are to enable delegates to have an awareness of
basic life support in the care environment; knowledge of the topic is tested via a questionnaire.

The aims of this course are to enable delegate to have a sound knowledge of first Aid.
The syllabus remains the same as above; delegates go through a more thorough understanding of incidents as well as an understanding of the HSAWA including accident/incident reporting.

A basic introduction to the anatomy of the spine and its components, we also look at how the body moves and protects itself in relation to body movement and joint function
