Astor Care and Nursing Agency is registered as an ‘Umbrella Body’ of the CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) and is therefore able to provide employers with access to CRB Standard and Enhanced Disclosures. These are a legal requirement for organisations whose staff work directly with vulnerable adults and children.

Our service involves recording, checking and processing CRB Disclosure applications, tracking their progress, contacting you should there be a query, dealing with any disputes, providing sample policies on the storage & use of disclosure information and the recruitment of ex-offenders, provide any help and support necessary to enable you to use the service effectively.

Completed application forms are checked and forwarded to the CRB usually within 24 hours of receipt and where applicable, a POVA first check can be obtained and emailed to you within a few days. Disclosures received from the CRB are sent to you in the first class post usually within 24 hours.
